DETROIT- Students at Wayne State University are celebrating women’s history month in many different ways. A’naya Jones, the President of the NAACP at Wayne State, helped create an event called Magnetic Women in History. Students created magnets dedicated to any woman in history. This event took place on Thursday March 7th at the student center on Wayne State’s main campus. Students played games to put their knowledge to the test about important female figures in history. A’naya Jones says “We started this event to have a fun way to celebrate women’s history.” They had a variety of magnets to choose from and a lot of different color markers to draw on them with. At the second half of the event they played games and discussed the importance of women in history.
